Crystal Lodge & Suites is seeking a housekeeping supervisor to join our dynamic housekeeping team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience and prior housekeeping experience. 

**No work permit sponsorship available for this role; must be legally eligible to work in Canada**
**No staff housing currently available **

Description of Duties
  • Oversee all supervisors, room attendants, housemen, janitors, and laundry staff
  • Act as relief housekeeping manager in their absence
  • Ensure productivity of laundry department is on or ahead of budget
  • Ensure 20-30 room inspections are performed daily with a minimum of 3 properly documented
  • Ensure daily property inspections are being performed
  • Direct coaching and feedback with all staff
  • Liaise effectively with the front office department or housekeeping manager in regards to the room occupancy reports, discrepancies, etc.
  • Assist with supervisors and staff as necessary, including but not restricted to the following:
  1. Acting as a laundry attendant
  2. Stripping a room
  3.  Cleaning a room
  4.  Specific tasks as assigned by the housekeeping manager
  •  Champion the following hotel policies and procedures:
  1. Health and safety
  3. Emergency procedures
  4. Hotel security
  • Responsible for completing records of conduct with employees, follow-up with the department manager and direct correspondence with the employee
  • Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, developing, and coaching of housekeeping staff
  • Assure adherence to the Crystal Lodge policies, procedures and employee handbook to provide maximum guest and staff satisfaction
  • Assist when necessary with inventory control and purchasing of supplies, staying within the established budget and guidelines
  • Report all deficiencies observed in all guest, common areas, and back of house
  • Coordinate with sales team to ensure proper set-up of meeting rooms and conference services
  • Maintain lost & found
  • Assist in building a high morale within the housekeeping department
  • Responsible for updating room statuses
  • Attend departmental meetings lead by Housekeeping Manager
  • Listen and respond to employee concerns and notify Housekeeping Manager as necessary
